About | Domaine Gayda

Domaine Gayda follows a strict code of conduct on all its Vineyards based on the utmost respect for our natural environment. As we have been fully organic during the last two years we will have full organic accreditation next year. Our vineyards are all grown to encourage bio-diversity by inter-cropping between the rows of vines with plants and flowers that give a home to a wide range of insects and birdlife that in turn control the buildup of harmful pests. "Minimal intervention" is the key to not only following the philosophy of organic cultivation but also to allowing the natural " terroirs" to express themselves. We are also blessed with our Three Winds that blow form Mountains, Sea and Land to help dry out the grapes naturally without fungicides.

After hand picking and sorting the grapes are carefully lifted into the tanks for fermentation where only the minimum amount of sulphur is used to protect the wine. All the wines at Domaine Gayda are a true reflection of the great natural terrors that surround this beautiful part of France.
