About | Naomi Mann

Driven to inspire, Naomi Mann promotes her passion for environmental respect by creating sustainable interior design concepts.  As a designer, consultant, and stylist, Naomi approaches each project to be a sanctuary for both the client and the environment, paying tribute to Gandhi’s famous mantra, “be the change you wish to see in the world.”

Naomi supplements her passion for sustainable design with continued educational workshops and classes, including West Coast Green, LEED CI and LEED for Homes, and travels the nation to tour the latest models for environmental design.  In 2008, Naomi earned the Green Build Professional certification from California’s Build It Green, which promotes healthy, energy and resource saving techniques to accelerate the adoption of green building practices.  Always up-to-date on the latest green building practices in California, the forerunner in the nation’s environmental movement, this certification makes Naomi an invaluable asset to Atlanta’s building and design industry as both designer and consultant.

Beginning her career at American International University, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Naomi continued her design studies in London immersing herself in international design concepts and historical treasure preservation.  Her extensive travel adventures and collaboration on national design projects led her to found MANN-MADE from Nature, an Atlanta-based sustainable interior design and consulting firm.

There are a variety of different reasons why items are green in this teenage girl’s bedroom.  Everything from fabrics being made from organic fibers and non-toxic dyes, to items being recycled into new decorative pieces, artwork being made from things that would have been thrown away, pillows being made in an environment where not only is everything organic and healthy, made from local wool, made on hand powered looms also creating an income for woman in another country.  Items are also made locally from local material.  The room itself is also designed to not just be comfortable for a teenage girl but for the room to easily be used as a guest room once the girl has moved out of the house with out having to redecorate.

The teenage girl’s bedroom is designed as a healthy oasis for a creative teenage girl to grow and evolve.  The room is a tribute to what inspires this young lady to reach for her dreams being in an interactive environment that is inspiring due to each piece that is present in the room having their own story that supports a healthy sustainable environment in someway or another.  The colors of this room are inspired from the earth itself strongly using browns, greens, blues with pops of other beautiful colors as accents.
