About | Laurie White
Laurie White, owner of Elisa Design and specializing in residential and green design, is a native Atlantan and graduate of the University of West Georgia. Art, architecture, and fashion have been a lifelong passion of Laurie, leading her to pursue degrees in Fine Art and Interior Design. Her fresh and youthful attitude along with her strong foundation in color theory and transitional design enable her to create timeless interiors.

An introduction into green building began for Laurie with a supporting design role for Eco Manor, the first LEED Certified Home in the Southeast. Laurie's next project as designer for the 2008 Southern Building Showcase Home, EcoLumina, afforded her exposure to every phase of the design process from the ground up. Through these experiences Laurie's knowledge and love for eco-friendly design have grown, inspiring her to make "sustainable and healthy" a priority in all her projects.

Laurie's unique design process involves listening to each homeowner to create a healthy environment encompassing their vision and lifestyle. Her passion for Green Design has extended into designing custom made reclaimed lighting using antique bottles, jars, and found objects. Whether you're looking for a full custom designed home or simply updating up a room, Elisa Design offers full interior design services to create the perfect living space.

The Media Room has a flexible design that allows the blending of rich fabrics, textures along with clean lines and fancy detailing, coupled with glossy surfaces to create the opulence of the old Hollywood Era.  Rich paint colors of blues, golds, greens, and gray complete the vision.

Eco-friendly paints and sustainable fabrics used on the vintage furniture and accessories add to the luxurious feel of the room.  A refurbished octagonal game table with curved cane back chairs offers additional seating as well as a space to play games.  The sofa, that dates back to the 1950's, is reupholstered in a beautiful cotton and silk velvet found at a remnant fabric store. The side chairs are chinoiserie style painted white with cotton mohair cushion seats. The upholstered coffee table doubles as an ottoman to complete the seating area. The lamps are made from reclaimed French bottles with silk shades adds that special ambiance conducive to entertaining or watching a movie.

The Media Room embodies the glamour and essence of old Hollywood while upholding Greenhaven's commitment to green living.
