Waldenour was founded by Atlanta residents Karen and Brad Raymer. Karen Raymer has been an interior designer for 19 years with a passion emerging for eco-friendly interior design for the last 6 years. Working in mainstream interior design for many years, Karen realized that her private lifestyle of buying organic and being mindful of one’s personal decisions mattered to the environment.

Her continued focus of teaching others celebrates  the understanding  of the necessity of sustainability in business, mindful practices that will support present situations considering the impact of what will transpire from these practices in the future.   Her dream to transform her business along with her heart for medically fragile people drove her passion to develop an eco-friendly and healthy interior design showroom and consulting business.

Karen speaks publicly about her passion and welcomes the opportunity to educate others about compassionate green business, currently consulting with day-to-day clients, as well as with retail businesses, trade partners, and manufacturing companies collectively.

 

Simple, classic, with a contemporary twist. We selected products that can transition from today’s generation into the next. Sustainability is exemplified by long lasting quality goods, items that are meant to be passed down to generations. Our upholstered furniture is heirloom quality. Antiques are also an important part of being green. The damask print fabric is a classic design, yet has been updated with a mod clean edge and color. The wingback chairs have been a staple in interiors for generations. We modernized them with a simple box-pleated slipcover.

To bring a bit of the outdoors in, we selected tree stumps, preserved in an eco-friendly resin. The inspiration of nature, the celebration of local artists and trades and the sustainable approach remain integral aspects of our selections. These comfortable selections create a cozy elegance, classically orchestrated to transition from today into the future.
