BJORK ANTIKT is the brainchild of Amy and Tomas Wikman. Originally started as a venue to import unique antiques and vintage furniture from Tomas' native Sweden for Amy's interior design clients, this unique home furnishings company has grown by leaps and bounds over the last few years. BJORK ANTIKT now manufactures custom upholstery and furniture lines and provides reupholstery and furniture restoration services to primarily the Interior Design Trade - and select private customers. In May, BJORK ANTIKT introduced their newly designed eco-friendly upholstery line - BJORK UPHOLSTERY COLLECTION.

With furniture primarily inspired by 1940's and 1950's biomorphic Swedish design, BJORK UPHOLSTERY COLLECTION also harks back to the beginning of modern Swedish design with streamlined Deco pieces and moves through the 1960's and 1970's with exclusive retro cinematic-inspired designs. The entire collection is available in custom sizes, options and finishes. Organic and natural fiber fabrics and leathers are available, in addition to vegan options for leather. Creating CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY according to a designer's or customer's specs is also a specialty. Currently private-labeling for many showrooms and furniture companies, BJÖRK ANTIKT brings years of experience in design and furniture directly to the designer and client.

BJÖRK ANTIKT is a founding member of the Sustainable Home Furnishings Council and prides themselves on manufacturing with the greenest processes available. Painstakingly bench-made with age old techniques and processes here in Atlanta, GA, the BJÖRK UPHOLSTERY COLLECTION is completely American-made. Sustainably grown and locally harvested kiln-dried wood, water-based finishes, reclaimed and recycled steel springs, soy-based foam, recycled foam, natural latex foam, jute webbing, organic cotton batting, down and feathers - all of these sustainable resources are part of the BJORK ANTIKT manufacturing vocabulary - with the search constantly on for new and better ways to produce exceptionally designed and well-made furniture.

BJÖRK ANTIKT also imports Swedish, Scandinavian and Nordic antiques and vintage furniture, art, lighting and accessories - featuring the best of Biedermeier, Art Deco, Art Moderne and Mid-Century Modern design - and offers a broad range of reupholstery and restoration services for vintage and antique furniture. BJORK ANTIKT offers the ultimate in recycling, reuse and repurposing!
