Streamlining the building management process, Custom Builder Management Solutions (CBMS) offers homebuilders a ready-to-use management system designed specifically for building professionals who are committed to delivering real value to their clients in the most cost-efficient way.  CBMS’ first-of-its-kind collection of management essentials enables builders to quickly and efficiently implement best practices, processes, and procedures to all aspects of the building process.   The system, which includes everything from policy manuals, company and jobsite organizational charts, to policy and procedure outlines, is designed to bridge the gap between the homebuilder and available technologies with CBMS’ Electronic Project Record software.  The Electronic Project Record presents the builder with forms, charts, diagrams, tables, and documents all created using familiar Microsoft Office applications pre-installed on most computers.

All these components are cross-referenced and can be easily modified to accommodate any individual Builder’s specific situation.  All forms/processes/procedures/systems are provided on the accompanying computer CD and have been created utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.  Also included are various Flow Charts, Diagrams, and Tables for quick reference to help builders with implementation of the new systems.  Finally, instructions are provided to take advantage of the database capabilities of Microsoft Outlook.

 

What influenced your company to go green?
I’ve long understood, since the original U.S. energy crisis of the 70’s, the importance of acting responsibly in the use of our valuable natural resources. That includes conserving our still plentiful gifts of timber, oil, natural gas, and coal. The U.S. has been blessed with the building materials and energy sources that made possible the relief from poverty and the steadily increasing high standard of living that American citizens have enjoyed for the last 100 plus years. For my lifetime and that of future generations, I want these resources to be plentiful enough to ensure that poverty can be held at bay for all developed and developing nations while economically feasible alternative materials and energy sources continue to be researched and applied by the same entrepreneurial minds that have brought us our comfortable existence.

What has your company done to go green?
Most significantly, through our determined development and application of effective and efficient management techniques, Custom Builder Management Solutions, we have made hundreds of builders better managers and planners. The results are the savings of thousands of miles of driving, in low mileage trucks, by job superintendents and project managers during unnecessary and random hours wastefully spent on the roadways, often in heavy traffic. Plus, thousands of homeowners have been integrated into our CBMS builders’ efficient operational approach, and are engaged in their process-driven operations. These homeowners have found it unnecessary to check on the progress and quality of their evolving new home for the reason that they are informed and relaxed because of the proactive custom building process of their CBMS builders.
