Free Tours at Eco-Friendly Decorators’ Show House

Going green isn’t easy. In fact, it can be downright tiring to try & live an eco-friendly life. There’s a lot of research involved. And sometimes, especially when it comes to decorating, you just want to buy what’s cute and matches your style & be done with it.

Want some ideas for eco-friendly decor? Take a free tour of Greenhaven, an Eco-Friendly Decorators’ Show House in Marietta. Every aspect of the three-level home pays homage to green design & efficiency, from the windows and the HVAC unit to the flooring & home technology. It’s up for numerous certifications, including LEED for Homes, EnergyStar, EarthCraft, the American Lung Association Health House, and the National Wildlife Foundation’s Backyard Wildlife Habitat certifications. Oh, and there’s Xeriscaping landscaping, if you want to know more about what that is.

And Greenhaven’s “Green Team” includes Atlanta decorators, local vendors, consultants, and landscape architects—all of whom share the eco-friendly goals of the home’s builder, architect, and developer.

Through August 9, you can take a free tour Green Haven on Thursday-Sunday. Hours are 9:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Fridays, 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Saturdays, 1:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on Sundays. 2380 Chelsea Landing Way (off Johnson Ferry in East Cobb), Marietta.
